Beth & Wesley

Vancouver rooftop Wedding

Beth and Wesley got married at The Gallery at Pavilion on a perfect cloudy day. The view of downtown Vancouver could be seen perfectly from their rooftop location. It made for a spectacular and memorable ceremony backdrop.

Their wedding day was emotional and energetic from start to finish. Beth got ready at the boutique Victorian Hotel Vancouver with her six bridesmaids and parents. There was dancing, singing, and crying as her sister (slash Maid of Honour) did her makeup and her mom did up the multitude of tiny buttons on her custom wedding gown.

The venue itself is one of my favourite locations I’ve ever photographed. The Gallery at Pavilion is a new, exciting addition to the Vancouver wedding scene. The event rental space offers a rooftop terrace with connecting indoor kitchen and dining areas. The entire space is modern and clean: the perfect setting to customize to your own style. I can’t imagine a better backdrop for a couple’s first dance than the city skyline on one side, and the rising moon on the other.

The delicious food catering was provided by Emelle’s Catering LDT.  Other details were provided by member’s of Beth’s family. The stunning, naked wedding cake was made by Beth’s aunt. The wedding favours were tiny jars of lime flavoured moonshine distilled by Beth’s brother. And the florals were put together by Beth’s Mom and bridal party. They did an amazing job of making a mostly DIY wedding look polished and sophisticated. It was so special to be apart of as their photographer!
