General Questions
What if it rains?
What’s the best time of the day to shoot?
I always recommend planning your shoot as close to sunset as possible, especially in the summer when the light is amazing. However, if that is not possible, amazing images are still possible as long as the shoot location has shady areas.
Rain is always a risk in the Lower Mainland. for portrait shoots, I'm happy to reschedule. Weddings aren't as flexible, but that's okay! We will make the most of it by making use of the collection of clear umbrellas I have on me at all times and embracing The Notebook vibes.
How do I choose a package?
Pricing Questions
What if I don't need a second photographer?
I'm not able to be in two places at once, so second shooters are useful for fully capturing the day. They are also able to act as back up in case something were to happen to me or my gear during your wedding day. Smaller weddings don't always need this extra coverage - in this case you would receive a discount on your chosen wedding package.
The amount of photography coverage you need is dependent on many factors, such as your timeline, locations, wedding size, and personal preferences. We will go over all of these elements during the initial consult so that we're sure you are booking exactly what you need.
Can I add extra hours?
Extra hours of coverage can be added at any time, even on the day of your event. Additional hours are $480 + GST and will be invoiced separately.
kind words
Kat captured our wedding day so perfectly -- the mood, the light, the joy. Her presence, professionalism and product were exquisite. We are so happy with our photos and they have been a delight to share with our friends and family. We thoroughly and heartily recommend her as a photographer.
